The MSE Departmental Laboratory supports the academic programs of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and Applied Science, providing a broad range of materials processing and characterization capabilities to enrich our students' education through experiential hands-on learning. Beyond MSE courses, the MSE Lab supports scientific outreach programs and hosts the MatSci Makerspace, a home for materials-centric workshops, student projects, and entrepreneurship. With its array of research-grade equipment, the MSE Lab serves as a shared resource, open to the entire University for interdisciplinary materials research and education.
